Anguilla dining make people remember this
Everywhere you look on Anguilla someone has put up a tent to BBQ chicken and ribs. Some of them are standards in the community and have regular times and days for their delicious fare. Check out the best. The price is right too! Check out Smitties, you can always get a chicken leg, ribs or fish. He also does lobster and crayfish and even has a place on the beach to sit down and eat it. Ken sets up across from the Peoples Market on Saturday from noon till he runs out and a little further down the road on Friday evenings. Ken raises his own pork in Welches and slices it thin to grill. He also does chicken and ribs but the real treat is the pork. He provides limes or lemon, you cut them and spray the juice on the pork. He usually has Johnny cakes and cold drinks. The corn soup lady sets up in the Ronald Webster parking area across from the National Trust building on Saturday morning till she runs out. She brings in two large pots of soup and to make sure you get some be there before noon. This corn soup is homemade Anguilla style and is delicious. She also grills chicken and usually has Johnny cakes and sweet potato pudding. Carl and his wife have a permanent set up right down the street from Ashley's Supermarket. He does the BBQ. You can get chicken, ribs or fish if he gets it. His wife is inside making the best cheese puffs you have ever eaten. They open on Friday evenings into the night. Popular spot.
